Employment

Employment relationships involve more than contractual obligations. For businesses, they are essential to effective operations and workforce management. For employees, they concern professional development, financial security and the protection of fundamental workplace rights. We advise and represent both employers and employees, providing legal guidance throughout the employment relationship, from its establishment to its termination and beyond.

We advise on the negotiation, drafting and review of employment contracts, executive and management agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, and other contractual arrangements governing employment relationships. We assist clients in establishing clear terms concerning remuneration, duties, working hours, benefits, intellectual property, confidentiality, restrictive covenants and termination, ensuring that contractual provisions are appropriate, enforceable and compliant with applicable employment legislation.

For employers, our work includes ongoing advice on workforce management, employment policies, working conditions, regulatory compliance, disciplinary procedures, reorganisations and redundancies. We also advise on the lawful termination of employment, including dismissal procedures, notice requirements, severance obligations and the preparation of termination and settlement agreements.

For employees, we provide advice and representation concerning contractual rights, unpaid wages, overtime, leave entitlements, changes to employment terms, workplace discrimination, harassment and unlawful dismissal. We assist in assessing claims, negotiating settlements and protecting employees’ rights where employment relationships become contentious.

We represent clients in proceedings before the Hellenic Labour Inspectorate (Επιθεώρηση Εργασίας), including labour disputes, inspections and compliance matters, as well as in employment litigation before the competent Greek courts. Our work encompasses claims arising from dismissals, unpaid remuneration, breaches of employment agreements and other workplace disputes, acting for both employers defending claims and employees seeking to enforce their rights.

Employment matters can be particularly sensitive, affecting business operations, professional relationships and individual livelihoods. We approach them with discretion and an understanding of the interests involved, seeking practical solutions where possible and providing determined representation where disputes require formal proceedings.
